Sakiori Wall Hangings

Inspired by Japanese Sakiori textiles, these pieces are made from upcycled worn flannel shirts handwoven into unique wall hangings. Sakiori is a tradition of creating new handwoven fabric from worn out clothes by tearing them into strips. Each piece is a unique exploration of color, texture and pattern incorporating both bright and more subdued flannels.
