Sustainability is an important part of my artistic practice, and this piece was created using rusty metal pieces and Ironbark Eucalyptus leaves placed on wet canvas to create interesting marks.

The rusty metal and leaves are applied in layers, and each layer takes many weeks to develop. The background was painted with bone black powder and soy milk to bind the dry pigment to the canvas. Contemplative hand stitching enhances the design and gives the piece texture.

These pieces are bold works of art with an earth palette and grounded energy.
