Found Poetry is a process of selecting and cutting words and phrases from discarded magazines. I place all of the words in a large wooden bowl and pull words out of the bowl randomly. The words are then put together intuitively to form a message. There's a lot of serendipity involved, as well as allowing something unexpected to speak through me.
I place my found poem on background collage of color and texture. The main image is crinkled using the momigami technique and dipped in a tea dye to give it a bit of a vintage look.
